This large vessel should have strong and reliable main engine, so the ship-builders installed Kawasaki-MAN B&W 6S60MC-C with full power of 13,560 kW at 105 rpm, which is enough for the vessel to reach maximum speed of 17.5 knots and operating speed of 17.1 knots. this is too high speed for such type of vessel, but actually the ship-owner required so high speed in any cost. The vessel was completed in 2008 by Kawasaki Shipbuilding Corporation. The vessel is the second delivered vessel from three LPG Carriers ordered by Sonatrach Petroleum Corporation to Asian Ship-yard.
